How to do it

  1. Place the roller lengthwise beside your right hip.
  2. Lie face down, supported on your forearms.
  3. Draw your right knee out to the side with it bent about 90 degrees.
  4. Rest the middle of your right inner thigh across the roller.
  5. Shift your body sideways so the roller travels toward your knee.
  6. Reverse the movement to roll back toward your upper inner thigh.

Form cues

  • Breathe slowly through each pass
  • Keep your belly gently braced
  • Let the working thigh relax

Common mistakes

  • Rolling too quicklyTake several seconds in each direction so you can control the pressure.
  • Pressing through painSupport more weight through your forearms and opposite leg until the pressure feels mild and tolerable.

Safety

Excessive pressure can bruise the inner thigh or irritate sensitive tissues, especially near the groin and inner knee.

  • Keep the roller on the muscular thigh, away from the groin crease and knee joint.
  • Stop if you feel sharp pain, tingling, or numbness.
  • Avoid rolling directly over bruised, swollen, or recently injured areas.

If you have a recent groin strain or unexplained inner-thigh pain, ask a physiotherapist or doctor before rolling this area.
